Love a White Lady? You might just enjoy a Sabot, which is effectively a White Lady with fizz. Interestingly, I understand that a Sabot is a destructive tank bullet, and was often the most powerful round to use in a Chieftan Tank. Although nobody seems to know quite why, it kind of makes sense that the cocktail is named after the Sabot because it is a tad powerful in itself.
But I don’t know about you, whilst it does indeed deliver quite a kick, that image of a Chieftan tank doesn’t do it any favours. Anyway, I’m sure these are all ingredients you’ve got to hand, so pop a bottle of fizz in the fridge and get cracking.
To a DRY cocktail shaker add:
1.5oz dry gin
0.75oz triple sec
0.75oz lemon juice
0.5oz simple syrup
Half an egg white, 1tsp aquafaba or 2 drops foaming bitters
Shake it all really hard, add a big old handful of ice and shake again before straining into a coupe glass and topping with around 1oz prosecco.
Enjoy!
